Shockingly, 28,625 of you visited 74,243 different pages on orangecountyconcepts.com during the month of November. That is down significantly from our glory days, but still a mystery to me considering we haven’t updated since Familiar Joe’s post about the Electric Zoo festival in September. At least our last post was in September, MiamiNights.com hasn’t had a post since June, and DrinkUpOrlando.com and Defame Orlando are like, non-exhistant now, hmmm how things change. So where are you getting your gossipy news now Orlando nightlife people? How are you surviving without our witty, insulting, sarcasm?

So you may ask yourself, what is going on with Docta Dawe, dLux, E. Sprad the photographer, Matt Phillips, Chris Callahan the photographer, and the rest of the bloggers that faithfully brought the city of Orlando entertainment for over a year here on OCC. Well, we are at a crossroads… That is:

Revive OCC?

Move on to a new project?

Its been a tough call. As many of you know I have been sidelined for a few months with a medical thing, (See http://www.orangecountyconcepts.com/2009/03/29/docta-dawe-public-service-announcement-2/) and will be returning to the DJ world around January. Until then I plan on doing a lot of nothing and really would like to get back to blogging. Soooo with that being said I will be announcing how I plan to do that over the next few days…

Personally, I would like to create a new blog, one that is not over run with comments from Russians about where to score viagra on the low low. I also would love to do something with my past collaborators… (even Kaypee), we did have a lot of fun here on OCC, and I think that really came across through our blogs. Anyways, hopefully this little thought from my head will catch on to the revival, or to a new project…. either way, my person/temporary blog will be up and running soon, but will mostly focus on my cancer treatment. So lets get this party started again my Orlando blogger friends!!

As some of you may, or may not know, today is our infamous Kaypee’s 21st birthday. Many of you are probably asking yourself the same question  a lot of people seem to be asking which is “she isn’t 21 already?”.

The answer is no. It’s amazing what beauty, a booty and razor sharp game will get you, isn’t it?

Tonight we will be celebrating in only the appropriate way, by going downtown and getting shit-housed. She is having a pre-game party at Lazy Moon Pizza if you care to join but if you can’t make it there and want to meet us downtown around 10:30ish feel free to text me or her (if you want our numbers, hit us up on facebook or myspace).

DJ dLux - Ask Dem Hoes About Hercules

A funny thing has been happening lately. My comments have stopped showing up right away. So I’m look around the site to assess the problem and I think to myself, hmmm, maybe I’m being moderated.

“How can I be moderated, if I’m an admin?” I ask myself. And then it dawns on me, I just recently had to add dLux back to admin status because another admin decided they didn’t like his post. They made dLux a plain ol’ author.

I sign onto OCC.com and I’m looking around, searching for clues. I found them. Now, this is still an assessment, but I think I have been demoted.

Let’s talk about this for a second. I vaguely remember, just vaguely remember, that the last time someone became a blog nazi, changing something of this caliber in an effort to censor, we at occ.com vowed that we would stand true to the 1st amendment. How quickly we forget…

I will stress that this is only speculation. Just know this, if I am right and you are the same person who changed dLux’s status, I know who you are and I know where you sleep. If you are not the same person, the odds are against you because there exists only a handful of admins on this site. Let this stand as a warning to you. You know me personally, so I’m sure you know I am crazy. You can take your chances, or you can make me an admin again. Choose wisely.

A while ago, I’m going to say about 6 months ago, maybe longer, Dawe and even our famed dLux played a song we all know and love called “Day N Night” by Kid Cudi every night OCC hosted. Well, I USED to love it. Now I hate it. With a passion. And of course, since I have developed a hate for it recently, EVERYONE LOVES IT. I HEAR IT EVERYWHERE!

I am officially declaring the song “Day N Night” RETIRED. That means that if I hear you playing it, I have the right to scalp you. Really, it’s in the contract.
